In the past couple of months, Josh has had the opportunity to do ADR for some exciting films! ADR stands for Additional Dialogue Replacement (or Recording), and it is done in the final stages of editing, to smooth out the audio track of the movie. For the actor, it involves matching your voice to what's on a large screen... for example, if the characters are laughing on screen-- you're laughing, too! Josh did ADR as part of a "loop group" of 14 kids for Ramona and Beezus, which hits theaters in July 2010. More recently, Josh did some solo ADR work at Fox for the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie, which comes out March 19, 2010. He is loving his time on the ADR stage, working with some big-time directors and honing his ADR skills!
